Activating Grassroots Voice on Behalf of a Major Social Media Platform

CONGRESSIONAL ADVOCACY, THIRD-PARTY ACTIVATION, EARNED MEDIA, MESSAGE DEVELOPMENT
01.05.2026

STATE OF PLAY

A social media company faced an existential threat from federal legislation that would have harmed its ability to operate in the United States.

ACTION

Over the past several years, Narrative has worked closely with the social media company to run multiple grassroots campaigns, including a 31-state effort in 2025. The campaign leveraged social media influencers, business leaders, political voices, and other critical stakeholder groups, mobilizing these voices to publish editorials in support of the social platform.

Additionally, around key inflection points, Narrative served as a press team for the recruited influencers and business leaders, pitching these voices to media targets and managing local and Beltway media interviews.

IMPACT

Over the course of 2025 alone, Narrative activated more than 80 influencers, and helped secure 41 news and editorial stories and 26 LTEs and op-eds in national and local outlets targeting specific lawmakers, including Inside Sources, The Daily Caller, the Denver Post, the Cedar Rapids Gazette, the Las Vegas Sun, the Oregon Capital Chronicle, the Village View, Nola.com, and more.

Additionally, our team executed a broadcast campaign, resulting in 15 unique interviews placed, running at least 48 times (including multiple broadcast spots and print stories) to a broadcast audience of over 500,000 and a social audience of over 20,000.
