Our Team Makes All The Difference

At Narrative, our people are our most valuable resource.

Matt Naugle

Director

Matt Naugle is a strategic communications leader with more than two decades of experience at the intersection of public affairs, issue advocacy, and crisis communications.

Matt has built his career in public affairs and advocacy, working with Fortune 100 companies and advocacy organizations on donor communications, issue management, and editorial strategy.

Before joining Narrative, Matt worked in Strategic Communications at Stand Together, the Charles Koch-founded philanthropic network. There, he developed donor-facing communications for The Phoenix, a peer-led recovery community supporting more than one million people, and the Abundance Institute, which advances state and local housing reform, among numerous other nonprofits. In this role, Matt produced material for the NFL's "My Cause My Cleats" partnership, built complex digital audiences, and structured lead-generation email automations.

Matt also worked in the digital department at Majority Strategies, served as Senior Content Strategist at Intermarkets, Research Director at Citizens United, and Copywriter at Council for National Policy.

Matt earned a B.A. in Financial Economics from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. He is an ultramarathoner with Northeast Track Club (whose website he designed), an amateur boxer at Urban Boxing D.C, and a two-time Grambassador to Grandma's Marathon in Duluth, Minnesota. He is also a lifelong Cleveland Browns fan, which has prepared him for a career of uphill battles.
