Our Team Makes All The Difference

At Narrative, our people are our most valuable resource.

Eric Benninghoff

Strategic Communications Manager

Eric Benninghoff is a strategic communications professional specializing in creative writing, deep research, effective pitching, and multimedia production. He joins Narrative with years of experience as a reporter, Fulbright researcher, and public affairs specialist in the public and private sectors. His background allows him to help clients tell their stories in creative and impactful ways, while navigating an increasingly complex media environment.

Prior to Narrative, Eric worked as a public affairs specialist at the Environmental Protection Agency, where he produced educational video content and designed numerous trips with agency leadership to promote understanding of environmental issues. Before joining the communications world, he worked as a TV and print reporter for ABC, CBS, and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette—pitching, writing, producing, and editing stories on local politics, education, and healthcare.

One of Eric’s most meaningful professional experiences involved spending a year working as a Fulbright researcher in Tromso, Norway, living 200 miles north of the Arctic Circle. His project investigated how to improve the quality of life for people with intellectual disabilities and autism as they become adults, comparing U.S. and Norwegian systems. As part of his work, he created and published several short films and articles and gave presentations at universities, hospitals, and foundations across Norway. The project was personal in nature, with Eric having an older brother on the autism spectrum.

Originally from Connecticut, Eric graduated from Yale University with a degree in political science. In his free time, he enjoys salsa dancing, running, playing tennis, and exploring DC’s food scene.
