The Firm Has Added a Dozen Full-Time Professionals in 2025
Washington, DC – Narrative Strategies announced today that Cassie Boehm has joined the firm’s senior leadership team as Managing Director. An agency veteran with over a decade of experience in public affairs, issues management, and strategic communications, Cassie brings a proven track record of navigating complex challenges and delivering high-impact results for her clients.
“Cassie possesses an ideal blend of experience, having previously led public affairs at an agency inside a trade association and served on Capitol Hill.” said Ken Spain, CEO and Founding Partner of Narrative Strategies. “She has done the job at a high level, understands the client perspective, and brings an acute awareness of the audience we often have to persuade.”
Before joining Narrative, Cassie served as Vice President and Public Affairs Practice Lead at Adfero, expertly guiding Fortune 500 companies, trade associations, and government agencies through issue advocacy, reputation management, and corporate communications challenges.
Cassie also previously held communications roles at the Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA), where she helped rebrand the association and engage policymakers at the state and federal levels. Cassie began her career on Capitol Hill, serving in communications roles for Senator Mark Kirk and Congressman Tom Rice. She holds a degree from Saint Louis University.
In addition to strengthening its leadership ranks, Narrative has promoted two standout interns to full-time associate positions, reaffirming its commitment to cultivating rising talent. Connor James has been named a Strategic Communications Associate. And Mariska Bogaard will serve as an Operations Associate. With these new additions, Narrative continues to grow along with its expanding client roster. To date it has added a dozen full-time professionals in 2025, including Mark Keida as Partner to lead Narrative Insights and crisis communications specialist Alex Romano as Senior Director.
