Daraka Satcher

Managing Director

Daraka Satcher has over twenty years of experience working for and engaging with federal, state, and local governmental entities. He uses this functional expertise to help organizations navigate the policy and regulatory worlds and provide guidance considering the entire governmental influence continuum. At Narrative, Daraka oversees the firm’s coalition development and management services.

Before joining Narrative Strategies, Daraka was Chief Operating Officer at Ohio River South, a Southeastern-based government affairs firm, where he regularly worked with Georgia state government officials and provided strategic consultation for numerous organizations, including Microsoft, the American Investment Council, and the Consulate General of Japan. Prior to his time in Georgia, Daraka worked in Washington, DC, for 12 years, where he served as a Deputy Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of Commerce and as a Chief of Staff, Legislative Director, and Policy Aide in the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate.

Daraka also served on the transition team for U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff (D-GA) and has experience as a political Campaign Manager. Daraka has served on several boards, including the Georgia District Export Council, Urban League of Greater Atlanta, and Voorhees University in South Carolina. Originally from Tennessee, Daraka received a Juris Doctorate from Emory University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Morehouse College.
