FIRST IN PI: FORMER CGCN STAFFERS LAUNCH COMMS FIRM
The three partners in charge of CGCN Group’s communications practice have left and launched a bipartisan communications firm, Narrative Strategies, and are bringing a slew of their former employees and clients with them. The new firm will be anchored by Ken Spain, who prior to joining CGCN managed corporate communications for Koch Industries; Patrick O’Connor, a former Wall Street Journal reporter; and Ed Mullen, who managed his own firm, the Georgetown Group, before joining CGCN.
— “Over the past three years, we built a team and expanded our capabilities to consistently deliver positive results for our clients, including those confronting difficult challenges,” Spain said in a statement to PI. “The launch of Narrative Strategies will provide our existing clients and partners with the same dedicated team and campaign-oriented approach, while positioning our firm for new opportunities and further growth.” Also joining the Narrative team from CGCN are Rosemarie Calabro Tully, Greg Blair, Christyn Lansing, Katie Mitchell, McHenry Lee, Kelly O’Keefe and Shaye Wood.
