Katie Mitchell and Andrew Fimka to Join Bipartisan Strategic Communications Firm
WASHINGTON, DC – Narrative Strategies today announced two senior-level additions to their quickly growing team. Katie Mitchell will join the growing strategic communications firm as a Partner and will serve as Chief Operating Officer. Andrew Fimka will join Narrative as Managing Director and will help manage the firm’s rapidly expanding book of business.
Mitchell previously worked as the Director of Operations at CGCN Group and was responsible for all operations and finances for the firm. In addition, Mitchell was responsible for standing up and managing the day-to-day operations of several of the firm’s largest coalitions. Mitchell brings with her an understanding of Capitol Hill, after serving in several roles in the U.S. House of Representatives. Mitchell will hold a partnership share in Narrative Strategies.
Fimka brings more than a decade of experience in communications, issue advocacy, and external relations, having worked in senior, public-affairs consulting roles, as well as a leading trade association in Washington. Most recently, Fimka served as Partner and Managing Director at NJI Media, a full-service digital and creative services agency, where he oversaw the Strategy and Client Services division and integrated the design, web development, and video production functions.
Operating at the crossroads of politics and policy, Fimka has led coalition efforts in the areas of tax, trade, and regulatory reform; managed multi-faceted advocacy campaigns in the energy and healthcare space; developed a modern grassroots program that mobilized activists among a membership of more than 350,000; and has directed numerous brand-management campaigns for corporate, association, and nonprofit clients.
The new hires join Narrative Strategies partners Ken Spain, Patrick O’Connor, and Ed Mullen, as well as a team of communications professionals.
