Narrative Adds Senior Political Strategist and Capitol Hill Communications Veteran Zach Hunter

Former Congressional Leadership Fund/American Action Network Vice President and Energy & Commerce Committee Communications Director Joins Narrative as Managing Director

Washington, DC – Narrative Strategies announced today that it continues to expand its team with the addition of Zach Hunter. Hunter, who served as Vice President at the Congressional Leadership Fund (CLF) and the American Action Network (AAN) for the 2020 election cycle, will join Narrative as Managing Director. Hunter is the second major hire for Narrative in as many months. Jill Farquharson, Communications Director for the Senate Energy and Public Works Committee under Sen. Tom Carper (D-DE) joined the firm in December.

“As Narrative continues to grow, we remain intensely focused on surrounding our clients with the talent and expertise they need to achieve their communications and policy goals,” said Narrative Strategies Founding Partner Ken Spain. “In addition to understanding the rapidly changing media environment, Zach possesses both the political acumen and the policy expertise necessary to build and execute winning public affairs campaigns. He brings industry knowledge in many areas, including healthcare, tech and energy. Zach adds immediate value to the Narrative client roster on day one.”

During the 2020 election cycle, Hunter helped engineer and execute tens of millions of dollars of spending for CLF and AAN, leading to historic gains for House Republicans. Hunter previously served as Communications Director for the House Energy and Commerce Committee, where he spearheaded communications efforts that ultimately resulted in the passage of hallmark legislation and managed messaging and media engagement around high-profile committee hearings.

Hunter, a University of Georgia graduate, also served as a Regional Press Secretary for the National Republican Congressional Committee, Communications Director for Rep. Adam Kinzinger, and started his career with his hometown member, Rep. Phil Gingrey.
