Dominique McKay to Join Growing Strategic Communications Firm

Washington, DC – Narrative Strategies has announced a new team member joining its staff of more than a dozen communications professionals. Dominique McKay will join the strategic communications and public affairs firm as a Director, beginning later this month.

McKay comes to Narrative Strategies after serving nearly a decade on Capitol Hill—most recently as the lead communicator in the Republican Whip Office for Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.). During her time in the Senate, McKay managed both internal and external communications surrounding the rollout and passage of comprehensive tax reform legislation (the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act), as well as communications around the confirmation of a Supreme Court Justice.

“As our client base continues to grow, the addition of talented team members like Dominique will ensure that Narrative’s new and existing clients receive the high-quality service they expect,” said Ken Spain, a Narrative Strategies founding partner. “The media and policy landscape is rapidly evolving and that requires the right blend of strategic thinking, experience, and work ethic to consistently deliver results. Dominique possesses all of those qualities in spades.”

McKay brings more than 10 years of communications experience to Narrative Strategies, having also served as Press Secretary for the Senate Republican Conference Committee, and as Deputy Press Secretary for the Majority side of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce. Over the years, her policy portfolio has included education, healthcare, Medicare/Medicaid, Social Security, Indian Affairs, and appropriations issues. McKay is a graduate of Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts in Communications.
