Hire Positions Firm for Next Stage of Growth Following Strategic Investment from Clarion Capital Partners

Washington, D.C. – Today, Narrative Strategies announced the hiring of Mathieu Roskovensky as Chief Financial Officer. Roskovensky brings more than two decades of financial management experience in the communications and public affairs sector. He will play an integral role within the senior leadership team, managing and driving Narrative’s financial strategy. This is Narrative’s first CFO hire as the firm positions itself long-term for greater expansion and growth following a strategic investment from Clarion Capital Partners.

“The increasingly complex business, media, and political environment in which brand-conscious organizations operate has positioned Narrative to expand our core capabilities and integrated service offerings to meet the needs of our growing client base,” said Narrative Strategies CEO and Founding Partner Ken Spain. “Matt is a proven and trusted professional with nearly a decade of experience as CFO of multi-client public affairs firms. His wealth of knowledge will be instrumental in guiding our continued growth and ensuring investments are intentional, scalable, and align with our mission to deliver best-in-class strategic counsel and services to our clients.”

Roskovensky is a multifaceted financial management executive specializing in accounting systems, budgeting, compliance, forecasting, and risk management. Roskovensky joins Narrative from PLUS Communications, where he has served as CFO since 2021 and led the sale of FP1 and PLUS Communications to Omnicom Group last year. Roskovensky was previously with DDC Public Affairs for fourteen years, serving as its CFO for the last six years. Roskovensky has also held controller and auditor positions at Verizon Enterprise Services and Deloitte.

Roskovensky is a Certified Public Accountant with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in professional accountancy from West Virginia University.

This move comes on the heels of last week’s announcement that Narrative added financial services communicator Samantha Martin as a Senior Director, who joined the firm from FGS Global, and longtime Republican National Committee staffer and corporate communications professional Abbey Lower, who joined as a Director.
