Narrative Strategies is proud to announce that our work advancing one of Washington’s most high-profile and consequential issue battles – ending surprise medical billing – has been selected by PRWeek as a finalist for its 2022 Best Public Affairs Campaign Award. The recognition is reflective of Narrative’s proven ability to develop multi-faceted campaigns informed by political perspective and executed with the precision and pace necessary to influence the ever-evolving policy environment.
Our approach to campaigns never begins with the intention of winning awards, but we always strive to deliver best-in-class work and let the work product and results speak for themselves. That is certainly the case for the campaign to end surprise medical bills where we utilized extensive message research to deploy digital, creative, paid advertising, external relations, grassroots mobilization, and advocacy strategies for maximum impact. This is the second prestigious award earned by the campaign as one of our featured ads also won the 2019 Reed Award for Best Political Ad.
Our work on behalf of the nation’s healthcare providers has successfully reshaped public opinion and the legislative landscape to such a degree that Congress passed the No Surprises Act and the bill was signed into law last year. Thanks to these efforts, patients are now federally protected from receiving surprise medical bills, and doctors no longer have to worry about legislation that gives insurance companies more power to cut reimbursements.
We are humbled by this exciting recognition of Narrative and the extended team, and we look forward to continuing to deliver the highest-quality work on behalf of our clients.
