Narrative Elevates Devin O’Malley to Partner

Additions of Paid Media Manager Alina Serbina and Strategic Communications Associate Grace Hill Strengthen Growing Suite of Capabilities

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Narrative Strategies announced today that the firm has promoted Devin O’Malley to partner. O’Malley previously held senior communications roles in the Trump administration at the Department of the Treasury and the Department of Justice and served as Press Secretary to Vice President Mike Pence. Since joining Narrative as a Managing Director in 2022, O’Malley has led successful high-stakes crisis management and public affairs initiatives. The firm also announced the addition of Paid Media Manager Alina Serbina and Strategic Communications Associate Grace Hill.

“In less than three years, Devin has led large-scale public affairs campaigns, managed high-profile crises, and helped countless companies and industries tell their positive stories,” said Narrative CEO and Founding Partner Ken Spain. “As the business community prepares for debates over tax policy, antitrust, and financial regulations, Devin’s strategic counsel will be incredibly valuable in these high-stakes situations.”

“Narrative continues to grow, and we rely on talented and hardworking people like Alina and Grace to strengthen our firm and allow us to deliver high-quality work for our clients,” Spain added. “We’re excited to have them both on our team as we expand our skills, offerings, and capabilities.”

Prior to joining Narrative, O’Malley was a senior strategist for Governor Glenn Youngkin’s (R-VA) historic victory in the Virginia gubernatorial race. Previously, he served as Press Secretary to Vice President Mike Pence and Senior Communications Advisor for the White House Coronavirus Task Force before becoming an adviser to Pence’s presidential campaign and issue advocacy organization. O’Malley held other senior roles throughout the administration, including the Department of Justice and the Department of the Treasury, where he served as Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs. He began his career under U.S. Senator Rob Portman (R-OH) and held a senior role in U.S. Senator Tom Cotton’s (R-AR) first campaign.

Serbina comes to Narrative from Mindshare, a global media marketing agency, where she managed paid social media for Unilever. She previously worked in paid digital and linear media for NBCUniversal. Serbina earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware.

Hill joins Narrative after working at Jeffrey J. Kimbell & Associates, a healthcare and life sciences lobbying firm. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Richmond.
